Xiaomi Mi Max 3 and Mi Band 3 to go official in Malaysia on September 27
Xiaomi Malaysia has made an official announcement that the Mi Max 3 will arrive in Malaysia on September 27 alongside the Mi Band 3 which was announced earlier this year. The Mi Max 3 that comes with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage will be retailed at RM1099, while the MI Band 34 costs RM129 in our market. Both these new devices will be sold at all Authorised Mi Stores, as well as on the company’s online store in Lazada and Shopee.
Specifications wise, the Mi Max 3 packs a 5,500 mAh humongous capacity battery that supports Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0. It sports a large 6.9inch full view display that carries the resolution of 2160*1080 with an aspect ratio of 18:9. Under the hood, it is equipped with Snapdragon 636 that is paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of expandable storage.
Camera wise, the rear camera is using a 12MP Sony IMX363 (1.4µm pixel size, f/1.9 aperture, dual PD focus, LED flash) + 5MP sensor. Moving to the Selfie Shooter is a single 8MP lenses paired with LED flash and configured with 1.12µm pixel size & f/2.0 aperture. The AI-powered camera feature can also adapt to 206 different scenes and change how it takes the photo.
For the Mi Band 3, it features a tiny 0.78-inch OLED display that can now display messages along with the standard time, date and number of steps taken. Users can even navigate by swiping up, down, left and right to scroll through menu items. The touch button is still there too as a home button or activating heart rate or clearing notifications, as well as having new features including a built-in stopwatch, a phone locating function, an alarm (even if the smartphone is turned off) and has 5 ATM water resistance grade.
