Samsung Galaxy J4+ and J6+ announced with side-mounted fingerprint sensors
Samsung Galaxy J-series is never the stuff to make the headlines, nor do they give the wow effect. But that doesn’t mean they are inferior. In fact, the J-series have been selling so well, Samsung is continuously giving more effort on improving them over their competitors in the lower price range. The latest iterations in the J family the Galaxy J4+ and Galaxy J6+, are bringing something fresh to the table for Samsung.
Flaunting a 6-inch (1480 x 720 pixels) HD+ Infinity 2.5D curved glass display, the Samsung Galaxy J6+ comes fitted with a dual rear camera – a 13+5MP – and an 8MP selfie camera with f/1.9 aperture. At the heart of the device is a 1.4GHz Quad-Core Snapdragon 425 Mobile Platform with Adreno 308 GPU, 3GB RAM + 32GB storage, and 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage options.
Powered by a 3,300mAh battery, the Galaxy J6+ has a stand out feature – a side mounted fingerprint sensor which doubles as the power button.
The Galaxy J4+, on the other hand, gets the same 6-inch (1480 x 720 pixels) HD+ Infinity 2.5D curved glass display, but with a single 13MP rear camera, a 5MP selfie camera, and surprisingly with no fingerprint scanner. Also, the device has the same SoC – a 1.4GHz Quad-Core Snapdragon 425 Mobile Platform with Adreno 308 GPU coupled with 2GB RAM and 32GB of expandable storage.
No word on pricing and availability for Malaysia or any other markets just yet, we, however, expect the duo to cost much less than most mid-rangers for the uninspiring specs.
