Samsung Galaxy A7 (2018) goes official with triple camera setup
Remember the leaks we shared from days ago about Samsung next phone is a Galaxy A7 with triple camera on the back? Turns out it is true. Samsung Electronics on Thursday announced the launch of its latest mid-range smartphone, Samsung Galaxy A7 (2018).
It is the first phone from the company’s bandwagon to be released with a triple rear camera setup. Other highlights of the handset include a 6-inch full-HD+ Super AMOLED Infinity Display, Dolby Atmos audio technology, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, and its 24-megapixel selfie camera.
With the existence of the depth camera, Samsung has confirmed that the Galaxy A7 will indeed feature adjustable bokeh effect. Additionally, the company also pointed out that the phone 24MP main snapper comes with automated oversampling feature for low light conditions which combines four pixels in one pixel to maintain the image clarity.
The phone also features a 24MP selfie camera which is accompanied by its own adjustable flash. As per most phone these days, the selfie camera experience can be enhanced with bokeh effect via Selfie Focus together with adjustable lighting effect through Pro Lighting Mode as well as AR emoji and filters.
A SamMobile report citing the company as the source claims the Samsung Galaxy A7 (2018) price will be EUR 350 (about Rs. 30,000). Samsung has stated that the phone would be made available in select European and Asian markets starting this fall, with plans to expand to other international markets in the near future.
Additionally, Samsung is expected to launch yet another smartphone on October 11, which is anticipated to be the company’s and the industry’s first to sport a quadruple rear camera setup. This smartphone has now been confirmed to be from the Galaxy A range, thanks to the launch press statement that references the October event.
Powered by an unspecified 2.2GHz octa-core processor, the Galaxy A7 also comes with a 6-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED display. Also equipped with 3300mAh battery and support for Dolby Atmos, it can be obtained with up to 6GB of RAM and 128GB internal storage depending on respective markets.
Connectivity options on the Samsung Galaxy A7 (2018) include 4G VoLTE, dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v5.0, ANT+, NFC (subject to region) with Samsung Pay support, GPS, GLONASS, Beidou, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. There is a 3,300mAh battery under the hood. Dimensions of the handset are 159.8×76.8×7.5mm and weight is 168 grams. Sensors onboard the Galaxy A7 (2018) include an accelerometer, gyroscope, proximity sensor, RGB light sensor, and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.
