Razer set to unveil its Razer Phone 2 on 10 October
Following its relative successful entry into the smartphone market with the Razer Phone as one of the first “gaming smarpthones” in the industry, Razer is preparing to make its second iteration very soon. Today, Razer has sent out invites for a launch event to be held in Hollywood on October 10 and you can bet a Razer Phone 2 is coming.
We’re expecting the follow-up to last year’s Razer Phone to bring with it several performance upgrades, though the design might remain largely the same.
With Google launching new Pixels on the Tuesday and Samsung taking the wrappers off a new Galaxy handset of some description on Thursday, it’s going to be a very busy week for fans of shiny new mobile devices – we very much include ourselves in that category, and will, of course, be bringing you all the news as it’s announced.
The invite has the boxy rectangular outline of the company’s first phone stamped on it, which, it seems, is going to be the outline of the company’s second phone as an earlier leak showed. That, plus the fact that the render from the other day had the October 10 date showing on the lock screen.
The keynote will kick off at 6:30, presumably p.m., with early previews for select folks scheduled for an hour and a half earlier.
Besides the aforementioned phones to be announced, October is shaping up to be pretty action-packed, with the LG V40 ThinQ coming on October 3, the Huawei Mate 20’s announcement on October 16, the Pixel 3 in between on October 9, and now the Razer phone the day after. Stay tuned as we bring you all the news of them!
