Honor 10 launched with Kirin 970, AI Beauty, and Notch Display

Honor 10 is now officialy launched in London just few hours back. The new android Flagship from the same Chinese Manufacturer Huawei is exactly the budget version of Huawei P20 Pro. Why is it called budget? It comes with similar design with reduced hardware specification.

Honor 10 features a 5.84 inches diagonally LCD display of aspect ratio 19:9 and 2280×1080 resolution at 432ppi. Similar to the P20 & P20 Pro, the display come with notch at the topside that hide the selfie camera, speaker, and sensors.

Honor 10 has an exciting design. The device is wrapped with both 2.5D glass front and back. At the bottom bezel of the display is an under-glass ultrasonic fingerprint scanner. Moving to the back is where the design glare.  Just like the P20 Pro, though, this phone exudes the glamorous premium feel that every phone company strives for but most fall short of achieving.  Honor 10 catches the light in distinct vertical stripes, and the way it shifts from the purple.

Under the hood is Huawei in house SoC Kirin 970 that is also powering Huawei flagship device such as Huawei Mate 10 series, P20 series and also Honor View 10. For storage, it is paired with 4GB of RAM and you have the choice of 128GB ROM or 64GB ROM. Please note that, this flagship does not support microSD expansion.

Moving to photography aspect, Honor 10’s dual-camera system is basically a trickle-down from parent company Huawei, with a 16-megapixel main sensor and a 24-megapixel monochrome sensor in which both lenses configured by f/1.8 aperture. AI scene and object recognition that featured in P series are also found in Honor 10.

For selfie, the front camera is a 24MP selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture and support for 1080p video and a front facial unlock. Of course, the AI beauty feature will assist you in getting the best from the selfie lenses.

Rounded out the specification is a 3,400 mAh that supports Huawei Super Charge technology via USB Type-C slot. Connectivity wise, the device has LTE carrier aggregation A.K.A the 4G+ across both sim slot. What missing is a headphone jack and an IR blaster.

Honor 10 will go on sale immediately across Europe. The 64GB variant is priced at €399 (RM1873) and the 128 GB variant is priced at €449 (RM2108). Finger crossing Honor 10 will be hitting Malaysia next week on May 22.
