Samsung Galaxy S9 mini appears at TENAA, pending an official launch in China?

Earlier this month, we have reported that the Galaxy S9 mini has been spotted in Geekbench database. Now things seem to be even clearer as the alleged S9 mini has also been approved by TENAA certification in China. It shown up at TENAA as Samsung SM-G8850, so we are speculating it as the mini version of Galaxy S9 or perhaps the previous generation Galaxy S8.

In terms of specs, the SM-G8850 offers a 5.6 inch display or 5.8 inches with a full rectangular size as commonly seen on Samsung flagship models with Infinity displays. As for the battery capacity, it is running on a 3,000 mAh power cell.

However, it is worth noting that infinity displays are no longer flagship exclusive for Samsung devices. Thus, the SM-G8850 and SM-G8750 could be ended up as a new midranger instead. As we already know Samsung has been pretty declining over the years in the Chinese market, they might opt for a lower spec flagship model with affordable price tag in order to win back consumers heart in China.
