Redmi Note 5 confirmed to launch in Malaysia on April 24 !
The wait is almost over! Mi Malaysia has posted a teaser on their Facebook page today stating that the Redmi Note 5 will be arriving our market in the coming future. The Redmi Note 5 has been certified by SIRIM Malaysia earlier this month, and this further confirmed the teaser that the Redmi Note 5 will be making its debut in Malaysia possibly by end of April.
In conjunction to this, we have also spotted Redmi Note 5 appeared at the official Mi Store on Lazada Malaysia in which they have indicated that it will be available on 24 April.
Specifications wise, the Redmi Note 5 comes with a 5.99″ Full HD+ display in a taller 18:9 display aspect ratio. Under the hood, it is powered by a Snapdragon 636 processor that’s paired with up to 6GB of RAM and 64GB of storage.
The rear camera will get a 12MP f/1.9 + 5MP camera, while the front facing shooter is a 13MP f/2.2 image sensor. The device is fueled by a 4,000mAh battery and it runs on Android 8.0 Oreo with the latest MIUI skin on top.
We will likely be getting the 3GB RAM + 32GB storage model, 4GB RAM + 64GB storage version and another high specced model that offers 6GB RAM + 64GB storage. The base model in China is priced at 1,099 CNY (about RM680), while the 4GB model and 6GB model cost 1,399 CNY (about RM866) and 1,699 CNY (about RM1,051) respectively.
