Xiaomi Mi 7 codenamed as Dipper appears on Geekbench
Xiaomi is expected to unveil the Xiaomi Mi 7 flagship phone in June this year.. A mysterious Xiaomi device called Xiaomi Dipper has appeared on the Geekbench. It is suspected that the Xiaomi Dipper is the Xiaomi Mi 7 on Geekbench.
Xiaomi is well known for using code names for its Mi series of smartphones. For example, the Mi 6, Mi 5S Plus, Mi 5S and Mi 5 were respectively codenamed as Sagit, Natrium, Capricorn and Gemini.
Based on the rumors, the alleged Mi 7 will be powered by Snapdragon 845 SoC with 6 GB of RAM. Qualcomm and Xiaomi have worked together to optimize the performance of Snapdragon 84 chipset. In single-core test, it has scored 2449 whereas in multi-core test, it has reached a score of 8309.
Besides that, the alleged Mi 7 may feature an Samsung’s OLED display that will also bring along Always-On Display function. It may feature an iPhone X-like notch and may also feature an in-screen fingerprint scanner. Also, it is said to arrive with support for 7.5W wireless charging.
