Meizu’s 2018 roadmap has once again been leaked online. The roadmap indicates the timeline for its device debut throughout the year. A newly leaked document has appeared online and it features the specific models that Meizu will release this year.
According to the document, the Flagship MX series isn’t in the list. The previous MX model is launched in July of 2016 packing an Helio X20 chipset.
Meizu President, Huang Zhang had hinted that we may not see the MX7 this year too. With the document leaked, it is confirmed that MX series will not be in the company’s 2018 plan.
The company’s flagship model are all coloured red on the while Blue Charm models are coloured blue on the timeline. The Meizu 15 and 15 Plus are both listed as coming in the first quarter and they are expected as Meizu’s flagship models.
Other than that, the product line-up include Dream 1 and Dream 2. Dream 1 line-up are likely the Meizu 15,15 Lite and 15 Plus. While the Dream 2 products(3 models) will be launched in Q3 2018.The
Blue Charms models expected to launch this year are M6s, E3, M8 Note, as well as the M8. The company is also expected to launch the Meizu X2 and M8s and M9 Note as well as M9 within the second quarter and third quarters.
The model are plotted in the timeline with price range included. The Blue Charm models fall within the 1500 RMB (~RM926) category while the flagship models are suspected to come with prices ranging from 2500 RMB – 3000 RMB (~RM1500 – RM1900).
If we go through the timeline, Meizu is set to launch quite a numbers of device just as it did in 2016. However, we can’t be so sure about that especially the company had scaled down its operations and staff strength in 2017 in order to cut down on running cost. So take this news with a pinch of salt.
