Facebook is making data settings and tools easier to find

Facebook tries to restore user confidence in its services with launching of a new tool that will make it easier for users to download and delete their personal data and posts from the site.

Making Data Settings and Tools Easier to Find

Controls that are easier to find and use. Facebook’ve redesigned the entire settings menu on mobile devices from top to bottom to make things easier to find. Instead of having settings spread across nearly 20 different screens, they’re now accessible from a single place. We’ve also cleaned up outdated settings so it’s clear what information can and can’t be shared with apps.

New Privacy Shortcuts menu. The new Privacy Shortcuts is a menu where you can control your data in just a few taps, with clearer explanations of how our controls work. The experience is now clearer, more visual, and easy-to-find.

“Access Your Information” settings streamline controls for editing and deleting posts, pictures, and videos. This is one of the simple way for users to delete stuff that they may no longer be proud of the world seeing; especially things from many years ago.

It maybe late for Facebook to admit their mistake regarding to the latest issue of breach of trust, nevertheless Facebook is trying to stop the same thing happen again.
