iPhone 8 Plus has the best smartphone camera in the world now — DxoMark
Apple has officially initiated the sales for iPhone 8 and 8 Plus today in select markets. And DxoMark has just finalized the camera test for the iPhone 8 Plus and the results is magnificent as it superseded the iPhone 7 Plus, Samsung Galaxy S8, OnePlus 5 and ranked top spot in the DxOMark Mobile overall rankings alongside HTC U11.
DxoMark commented that the iPhone 8 Plus has “the best smartphone camera ever tested” with an overall DxOMark Mobile score of 94 sets a new record, beating out the 90 points for both the Google Pixel and the HTC U11, as well as the 92 that its sibling iPhone 8 just scored. Its Photo score of 96 is also a new record, blowing past the Pixel’s 90. For Video, its score of 89 is among our highest, but tied with the HTC U11 and slightly below the Pixel’s 91.

The iPhone 8 Plus camera performance is particularly impressive in the photo exposure & contrast, flash and color departments, as well as video stabilization, color, autofocus and exposure & contrast.
The Bokeh effects are the best DxO’s experts have “seen in a mobile device”, but there are still some minor autofocus and exposure issues which affected its scores.
The standard iPhone 8 on the other hand has a “solid performance upgrade over the iPhone 7” with 92 points in hand and placed above Google Pixel, U11 and Galaxy S8.
